Bio:

Ellen D. Wu, Ph.D., University of Chicago, recently completing her dissertation “Race and Asian American Citizenship From World War Two to the Movement.”  Wu earned a B.S. in biology and B.A. in history at Indiana University and received an M.A. in Asian American Studies from UCLA.  Her research and teaching interests include 20th century United States society, culture, and politics, Asian American history, migration and transnationalism, and race, nation, and citizenship.
