For over 40 years, American Studies with its distinguished faculty has promoted scholarship on cultures and politics of the United States.  We emphasize the interdisciplinary study of literature, history, culture, and social sciences.  Our faculty are dedicated teachers who research and offer courses in law and politics; race and ethnicity; gender and sexuality; popular culture and folklore; technology and economy.  We offer the minor in Race and Ethnic Studies and sponsor the Asian/Asian American Studies Undergraduate Certificate and Initiative.Arts and Sciences in Action: American Studies Style
