Bio:

Helene Grynberg has been affiliated with American Studies since coming to Rutgers in 1984.  She received a BA in Spanish from Queens College, and an MA in Ibero-American Area Studies from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.   Her studies abroad included stints in Spain, Portugal, Brazil and Mexico.

She was co-host of the TV show, "The Arts," for many years and was a professional folk-dancer.  She is an active volunteer in various non-profit organizations and has a keen interest in "whole-food" Chinese herbs.
