Christine holds degrees in American Studies & American History from Rutgers University and is a long-time member of the American Studies faculty. Her varied interests have prompted her to create many “special topics” classes over the years including Illness in the American Imagination; The American Dream in Fiction & Film; Race, Roots, Rock ‘n’ Roll; and most recently, Emmett Till: Civil Rights, Social Justice. She has advised many Honors and Independent Studies projects and served as Faculty Advisor to the Rutgers American Studies Association. She recently completed an “International Blues Scholar” graduate studies program at Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi and returns to the state frequently, working on her current project: “Untold Stories of the Mississippi Delta.”
